HOA Board meetings

2023

THE 2023 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING OF THE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION took place on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. at the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Hall. at 6880 Palmer Park Blvd. 

There were 3 board member positions up for election in 2023 and the 2024 budget was ratified.

The official notification mailer was sent out on Friday, November 3, 2023 (2 weeks and 3 days before the meeting).

There was NOT a quorum (not enough members attended in person or by proxy) at the 2023 annual meeting, so the 3 board member openings up for election remained in place by the current directors until the 2024 annual meeting, where they will either be elected by membership vote, or someone else is, or if there is no quorum then they will remain in that position until the following year.

Currently, THREE board members were elected by the HOA membership by an Annual Membership Meeting vote.  Two board members were appointed to the board after previous board members either moved out of the neighborhood or resigned.

2024

The 2024 Annual Membership Meeting will take place in late November 2024.  

Check back for the exact date and time but all homeowners will be mailed all the details.

A Board of Directors meeting was held via Zoom on November 1, 2023 at 7 pm.  Meeting minutes were approved from the March 23rd meeting and will be posted on the homeowner portal.

A Board of Directors meeting was held via Zoom on March 23, 2023 at 7:30 pm.  A handful of homeowners attended, along with the 5 board members, and the community manager, Brittany.

For all Board of Directors meetings held via Zoom, homeowners, board members, and the management team must register in advance for this meeting at the following link (to ensure only authorized HOA members are joining the meeting)

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

The link to register and join the meeting (as well as the draft agenda) will also emailed to all homeowners email addresses that are on file.

- Crime in adjacent neighborhoods is on the rise (especially in construction areas in the new neighborhoods across Constitution Ave.  Now with construction taking place just outside our neighborhood (to the north), it is almost assured that criminals will try to bring their crime into our neighborhood.

Each year, teens and young adults go around to neighborhoods all over to check car doors and see what they can steal from inside unsecured vehicles.  Some people leave their firearms and sometime even their keys or key fobs inside their cars and this just contributes to future crimes when thieves hit.

- License plate readers were installed at both of our entrances for both inbound and outbound lanes (including camera signs) to help deter and also to help solve some of these crimes.

- Join our SAS team to contribute ideas and held decide which new ways the HOA will increase security for our residents and property.

- Our homeowners have a vested interest in the development and upkeep of our park as well as the landscaping along Hannah Ridge and Palmer Park Blvd, at our two entrances into the neighborhood.  We welcome any interested homeowners to be part of the planning process by joining the Landscaping and Park Planning Team.

- There have been plenty of homeowner complaints about street parking as well as rude drivers (many of which do not live in our neighborhood) nearly hitting kids crossing the road, stop sign runners, loud cars, and speeding drivers.  If you would like to be part of the solution and bring ideas to the table, then please join the team.  We will work closely with the El Paso County Sheriff Traffic team to develop solutions and hold bad drivers accountable
