Our neighborhood weekly trash and recycle pickup is provided by the HOA and is contracted through Waste Management. They can be reached at 719-632-8877 for any service questions.
TRASH AND RECYCLE PICKUP
Trash containers left out on any day but Thursday (or Friday after other major holidays) is prohibited. Some leeway has been given though, and you may choose to put your trash containers on the curb the night before. In some circumstances, you may leave them out longer if you are traveling. Simply email the management company or the Board of Directors and let us know. On all other days of the week, trash containers are required to be kept hidden from view of the street (in your garage or behind the gate of your backyard, for example).
DO NOT PUT OUT YOUR TRASH/RECYCLE ON TUESDAYS OR EVEN DURING THE DAY ON WEDNESDAYS! THAT IS TOO EARLY.
ALL TRASH SHOULD BE IN SEALED BAGS that are inside your trash can (tote). This prevents your trash tote from becoming dirty and smelly. It also prevents trash from blowing freely around and into neighbors' yards or into the street.
Recycling materials should also be only enclosed in your recycling tote (not on outside the container or on the sidewalk). Recycling materials blowing around the neighborhood has become a real problem. WM also does not allow trash bags in recycling bins. All recycling materials should be free of plastic bags. Do not fill plastic bags with recycling materials in your recycling tote. It needs to be free to pour into a separator for stream recycling.

Any extra service (over the 1 trash can and 1 large recycle can) ordered or caused to be picked up by the homeowner or renter, will be the responsibility of that homeowner. They must pay for that extra service. This includes extra bags, any bulk curbside pickup (mattresses/furniture/BBQs/etc).
IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE TRASH CAN, AND WASTE MANAGEMENT HAS TO COLLECT TRASH FROM THEM, THEN THE HOMEOWNER FOR THAT ADDRESS WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA.
The HOA continues to pay for residents' normal trash and recycle pickup. It is only the extra bulk trash that is not covered. The HOA board of directors may make once per year bulk pickup exceptions for each home, but you will need to get advanced approval through the HOA unless you pay for it yourself.
One other way the HOA Board of Directors has decided to possibly assist with the extra trash from staying at home and Spring cleaning extras, is to order extra pickups to be scheduled at different locations and times. Check back for more into on those schedules.
